I grew up in Germany and Austria doing every possible sport I could get my hands on. At 23 I fractured my spine jumping off a cliff in Crested Butte, CO on my snowboard and have been paralyzed below the waist ever since. I started handcycle racing in 2001 and switched to cross country ski racing in a sitski in 2004. I was on the US Ski Team from 2005-2010 competing all winter on the World Cup and at World Championships and at the Torino and Vancouver Winter Paralympics. In 2010 I moved to Canmore, AB and began competing for Cross Country Canada and have represented Canada on the World Cup, World Championships and at the Winter Paralympics in Sochi. I spend about 200 days per year traveling all over the world competing, training and traveling and also build my own sitskis out of carbon fiber. In my spare time I enjoy taking pictures, going to art museums, drinking exceptional coffee and absorbing the world around me.
30+ World Cup podiums between 2007-2015. 2011 World Champion and silver medalist 2014 Paralympic Champion all nordic skiing
