I have lost 144lbs in 5 years and running has been my saviour. I ran my first 5k in 2012 and have graduated to running ultra marathons. The trails are my playground and my goal for 2016 is to run my first 50 miler. I live a healthy lifestyle, I'm a mom to a Type 1 diabetic and nutrition plays a big role in our life. I cross train by spinning and lifting heavy weights. I'm an avid 5x a week gym goer and always carry my Nuun!
From fat to fit I've run 5k's, 10k's, 13.1, 26.2 and 50k's. To date by biggest accomplishment was PR'ing my 50k on a very brutal technical trail. It was the hardest thing I've ever done mentally and physically. I kept reminding myself that my 284lb self would not be here right now so finish it.
