I had always considered runners to be the epitome of fitness but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't find it in me to stick with the sport I so wanted to identify with. It wasn't until a gorgeous Siberian husky, Denali, came into my home and life that I found the motivation to start and continue running. From our first Couch to 5K session to now, we've logged countless hours and thousands of miles on the trail. I've completed dozens of races from the 5K to the marathon, with the half marathon being a favorite. I'm also a certified BODYPUMP and Piloxing instructor and am working toward my ACE personal trainer certification.
Cutting 8 minutes off my half marathon time this year at Fort4Fitness I also set PRs in the 5K and 10K this year, thanks to Nuun In general, completing two marathons as a working mom, attempting my first triathlon and finishing two relays.
